Emmentaler AOC is a hard cheese which has its origin in Switzerland. The most typical thing about Emmentaler is the large holes which result during the aging process but also its aroma which has a fine/nutty taste. Mild Emmentaler AOC is offered after four months of aging at the earliest. The longer the aging process, the more intensive the aroma.
